Help students own their choices and make things right with these restorative behavior reflection sheets for middle and high school. Instead of shaming "think sheets," these respectful reflection pages guide teens to tell what happened, notice what was going on inside, see who was affected, repair the harm and plan for next time. Includes 8 situation-specific sheets, a visual leveled version for special education, repair and re-entry plans, and teacher scripts.
What's included
- Teacher guide: the reflection cycle, a 2-lesson launch plan and differentiation (support, on level, deeper reflection)
- Using the sheets restoratively: what the Center on PBIS, the IRIS Center and restorative-practice principles suggest, a do/avoid list and a "which sheet?" chart
- When a reflection sheet is NOT the right tool: safety concerns, possible abuse, mental health crisis (988 Lifeline), bullying, IEPs and behavior plans
- Standards & contents page (CASEL competencies, ASCA Student Standards)
- Owning It mini-lesson: the 5-step Rewind-to-Reset path
- Spot the Ownership sort: excuse, blame, put-down or ownership (12 statements)
- Words That Help word bank (feelings, needs, who was affected, ways to repair)
- Quick Reflection (5 minutes) and a 2-page Full Reflection
- 8 situation sheets: phone use, disrespect (words & tone), conflict with a peer, class disruption, tardiness or skipping, academic honesty (including AI misuse), technology misuse, missing work

- 12 visual choice cards ("I need a break," "I'm ready to talk," "I don't feel safe"...)
- Restorative repair plan
- Apologizing & Making It Right guide + practice (rate 5 apologies, match harms to repairs)
- Apology planner

- 8 restorative scenario cards + response sheet
- 6 exit tickets
- Teacher conference script (3-5 minutes)
- Peer repair conversation guide with an agreement form
- Re-entry conversation guide + student "Ready to Return" plan

How to use it
Teach the process first in two short lessons (advisory works well), then keep the sheets in a "reset folder" by the door. After a hard moment, wait until the student is calm, offer a sheet, hold a short private conference and agree on one repair step and one next-time step. Works for classroom teachers, deans, counselors, special education teachers, in-school reflection spaces and restorative programs.
