Teach directions in Spanish with a real-world Spanish 1 unit students actually enjoy! Students explore Villa Paloma, a detailed fictional town, and ride the metro in the big city of Ciudad Mirador. They learn places in town, prepositions of location, tú and usted commands and transportation, then trace routes, read text messages and 24-hour schedules, plan metro trips and give directions to a partner. Every route on every page was traced and checked on the map.

How to use it

Use it as a complete 7–8 day Spanish 1 unit on places in town, directions and transportation, or pick the pieces you need: the directions mini-unit (map, prepositions, commands, routes) or the transportation-and-time mini-unit (schedules, metro, culture). Print and go: only the role-play cards and exit tickets need cutting.
