In this taxes for teens unit, high school students learn why we pay taxes and the main types, calculate tax with progressive brackets, fill out a practice W-4, figure Social Security and Medicare withholding, read a W-2, and complete a simplified 1040-style tax return simulation for three fictional taxpayers to see who gets a refund and who owes.
