Help students start 2027 with goals they will actually follow through on. This no-prep New Year goal setting unit for middle and high school teaches SMART goals and the research-based WOOP method (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan), then turns one goal into an action plan, a habit tracker and monthly check-ins that keep the goal alive past January.

How to use it
Use it the first week back in January in advisory, homeroom, school counseling lessons, SEL, life skills or any class. Run it as a 5-day unit or pick single lessons, then use the 15–20 minute check-ins in early February and March. Print and go: just cut the sort cards and pennants.
