Bring Halloween into your classroom with a no-prep escape room that teaches real life skills! In this Halloween escape room for middle and high school, teams are locked inside Ravenwood House by a polite but very particular ghost. To get out, they must read a floor plan, check a costume receipt, scale a punch recipe, plan with a timetable, spot a scam text and make safe choices for Halloween night. Spooky fun, never gory.
What's included
- Teacher guide with learning goals, materials, station overview and differentiation (support, on level, challenge)
- Setup & game-master guide with timing for a 45-60 minute period, hint rules, a no-envelope option and a two-day option
- Standards page (Common Core math, Jump$tart and CASEL)
- Case File story page with team roles and rules
- Answer recording sheet with 6 lock graphics (number, word and directional locks) plus the final door
- Station 1 Maps: a haunted house floor plan with a compass, a scale and the ghost's directions to follow
- Station 2 Shopping math: a costume-shop receipt with a 30% sale, a coupon, sales tax and change
- Station 3 Measurement: a party punch recipe to scale up for 40 guests (cups, tablespoons, quarts, gallons)

- Station 5 Scam smarts: a suspicious text message to compare with a real email and flyer
- Station 6 Halloween safety: costume fire safety, being seen in the dark, crossing streets at night and food allergy awareness, from official safety guidance
- Each station: an evidence page + a puzzle page with Ghost Check questions
- Final lock: a letter-grid door where the six codes spell the magic word
- 12 hint cards (2 per station) and 8 envelope labels
- You Escaped! debrief, exit tickets (2 per page) and a Certificate of Escape

How to use it
Use it the week of Halloween in life skills, consumer math, FACS, special education, advisory or homeroom, or as a ready-to-go Halloween sub plan. Teams of 3-4 work through the six rooms in one 45-60 minute period (or two shorter ones). Print and go: put each station in an envelope, or simply staple the packets and initial each lock as teams solve it. No lock boxes needed.
